My great-grandmother was Anna Dahlke, b. 1896, married Gottlieb Steinke, 1892-1963. They lived in Fall Creek. Gottlieb's father was also named Gottlieb, mother was Sophie Messerschmitt (all from Posen).

Anna's father was August Dahlke, b. 1870 in WI. Mother was Emma Bahdke, b. 1867 in Germany/Preussen.

Trying to find more information on either Gottlieb's or Anna's family. My mother is Deborah Steinke, grandfather is Arnold Steinke, both of Fall Creek/Eau Claire. Would love to share info. I've already spent hours upon hours in the census and immigration/birth/death records, and Posen seems to be a dead end. Thanks much!
