Please read my narrative about Vernon Dahmer at www.renegadesouth.com. Your Robert was the nephew of Vernon Dahmer who was killed by the KKK in Jan 1966. Alvin Hasten Dahmer was the son of Ellen Louvenia Kelly and George Washington Dahmer. George Dahmer was a bastard child fathered by a traveling salesman named Peter Dahmer. Peter and his brothers immigrated to this country from Hesse, Darmstadt, Germany first settling in St. Louis, MO and eventually settling in MS. They served in the CSA during the CW.

Jeff's father currently lives in Seville Ohio.He is originally from West Allis Wisconsin, where he lived with his father Herbert, and his mother Catherine. Joyce is now deceased. She died from breast cancer, i believe it was in the year 2000.she was living in California at the time and working with aids patients.although I'm not sure what initially brought her to California, her family was in Chippewa falls Wisconsin. It was Lionel's school in Akron that first brought them to Ohio,i suppose that's why he subsequently found his employment in or near Ohio, and so elected to remain in that area. any other questions regarding Jeff, (my ONLY area of expertise, lol) please feel free to email me with any questions on Jeff or his family,or is victims,or his crimes,etc..at mrsdahmer8@gmail.com i hope I've answered your question satisfactorily, sincerely Cari

I'm trying to find out any info that I can about Alvin and Anna Dahmer. They resided in Mississippi until around the late 1920s. They then moved to Chicago, IL, in 1930. They had 3 children: Nova, Alvin Jr, and Edward. Alvin was born in 1898 in Mississippi, as was Anna. Nova was born in 1919, also in Mississippi. Alvin Jr was born in 1923 and Edward was born in 1926. They were both born in Illinois. Please help me if you can.

Jim, I was told early on in life by my mother, who was married to Robert Dahmer in 1955, that Lionel is somehow a second cousin to Robert. I don't know anymore than that, because Robert died in 1982(?) and his brother Edward died in 1977. I'm trying to find out myself anything I can about this side of my family. I don't know my grandparents names, only that they died in the 1960s. We all resided in Round Lake Beach, IL. I have an older halfbrother, Douglas, and a younger sister, Debra. If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it as I am new to this. Linda

Samuel B. Dahmer, Ellet, OH

Looking for information on Samuel B. Dahmer of Ellet, OH. He married Mary Louise Ulmer and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Dahmer. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII, and must have been a high school classmate of my dad's as I found a newspaper clipping of his wedding amongst his things. Would just like to make contact with his family.

Hi Chad! Thanks so much for replying. I just tried to call, but there was no answer.

My dad died 35 years ago, and I just recently found his photo album/scrap book and started looking through it. My mom and I recognized everyone in the book with one exception...your grandmother and grandfather. We do not know how my father knew them. Or perhaps he was just friends with one.

My dad lived in Ellet when he was in high school, but graduated from East High School. I saw in your grandfather's obituary that he went to Ellet High School.

Might you be able to ask your grandmother and see if she recognizes the name Harold Gilbert? His nickname was "Red" if that helps. It would be nice to solve this mystery!

Here is what the wedding announcement says:

A nuptial ceremony in Abilene, Tex., united Miss Mary Louise Ulmer, 220 Tudor Av., and P.F.C. Samuel B. Dahmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Dahmer, Dennison Av., Ellet district. The bridesgroom is in the armored division of the army of the United States at Camp Berkeley, Tex.

There is a very nice picture of the two of them also.

Jane Gilbert

I believe Lionel Dahmer was a native of West Allis, WI . He lived with his parents and sister next door to my aunt. When my aunt passed away in 1942 I believe I was baby sitter for Lionel and his sister during the funeral. He would have been 4-6 yrs. old in 1942. His father was my cousin's HS algebra teacher and his mother and my aunt were good friends as neighbors.

Found a typed copy of a family bible from NJ. - Middlesex County that listed:

Charles Dahmer m Anna E Ward (b1868) Feb 29, 1892
Witness: Lillie M. Spader (my ancestor), Frank A. Newman (Lillie eventually married him).

Anna Ward's parents: John Henry Ward 1840-1925 and Ann Eliza McDermott d1911 both probably born Ireland (probably sister of my gggm).

Is anybody working on these families?

At that time I believe the town was just about run by the Dahmer's and everyone seemed to be hush, hush. And wouldn't give out any information to him. So this is all I know and if you can help me in some way I would greatly appreciate it.

George Thomas Dahmer Born Sept.12, 1924 in St.Louis Missouri or transported to St Louis to be put on a doorstep of an orphanage.
Married Mardin Jene Bailey Oct. 16, 1954 in St.Louis Mo. at St. Francis DeSales Church Three Children:
Brenda J.
I think Jeffrey Dahmer was a fine kid until something happened when he was in high school. Did something happen that can point to a sudden change in his behavior during his high school? Maybe David (his younger brother) can provide some help and shed some light to understand if he knew anything to clear out this issue. Also, did Jeff play baseball when he was in school? Thanks.

Dahmer from Russia

Does anybody know the name of Jeffrey Dahmer’s grand father? He was the father of Lionel Dahmer (Jeff’s father).
There is no genealogical information available for Lionel Dahmer etc. Jeff’s grand parents were from West Allis. I am assuming that they were originally from wisconsin. Also it seems that few Dahmers migrated from Russia to wisconsin. Is it possible that Lionels Dahmers parents related to them? Thank you.
