There is an oral history in my family that this generation of the children are believed to be 1/8th "indian" with a grandfather marrying a "Native American" in Missouri so the family lived there between 1854 and 1890.

I was wondering if there was any truth to it.

Charles Dailey:
Birth place: Clark County, Indiana - 1847
Death place: Johnstown, Brown County, Nebraska - 1892
Married to Margaret Emaline (Tibbets) Dailey
Son of John Dailey and Mary Maria (Overman) Dailey

Going back in what I think is the correct lineage I have listed the possible names of who could be the Native American:
Catherine (Van Pelt) Covert, Mary Ann (Amick) Overman, Sarah Stoner, Eleanor (Kuykendall) Daily, MaryAnn (Wise) Daily, Mary Catherine (Stoner) Daily, Jane (Covert) Overman, Isabelle (Barker) Daily, "Nellie" Eleanor (Temple) Daily, Eleanor (Metcalf(e)) Kuykendall, Ann (Brown) Covert
