At Grand Prairie, Marion, OH, 1880, there were Winfield DANE, 25, & Edward DANE, 23, they & parents all b. Ohio, tile makers, in household of Samuel N. TITUS. That may have been a duplicate entry for Winfield & Edgar, sons of Ebenezer.

The second marriage was in Franklin Co., OH, 17 July 1926, but both were listed as single. Wilbur M. DAINS, b. Findlay, OH, son of Winfield DAINS & Della TIORELL, m. Corilla BRIDGE, 30, b. Columbus, OH, dau/o Marion BRIDGE & Corella HEDGES.

This gives you two sources of the birth date of 2 Sep. 1893, marriage and Social Security records, and proves the first two marriages were in Ohio.

This family probably descends from Abraham DEAN/DAYNES who went from Casco, ME, to New London, CT, where he m. 22 or 27 Dec. 1671, Sarah PEAKE, dau/o Wm. There were several Ebenezers in the family.
