Can anyone give me information on Frances' first husband, Charles Augustus Guynup (originally from NY, b.~1848)? He is my great-great-grandfather and I'm trying to solve the mystery of this first marriage. They were married in Mentor, Wisconsin in 1871. She gives birth to a daughter, Grace, in Feb 1876. Records show that she married Robert Porter Drake in Nov/Dec of 1876 in Colby, Wisconsin. Was she divorced, or did either she or Charles walk out on the marriage w/o divorce? Is Grace actually a Guynup or a Dake? She was raised as a Dake, since she was basically still an infant upon Robert's marriage to Frances. Thank you for any clues you can provide.
