I'm working on my Dad's family and find that his greatgrandmother was Laura Dakin (b.May 9, 1809), d/o William Dakin Charity Hollister. William was the s/o Preserved Fish Dakin Deborah Akin. Laura m. Eber Jones abt. 1830, prob. in Iowa. My information is spotty after P.F. Dakin. Would love to know more. will be happy to give you what I have, but Annette already has written more in her message of Nov. 11, 1999. I have some info fro the Doble geneology that confirs some of her input, but I have not verified it.
