DAKINS in Essex, Suffolk or Swansea, Glamorgan

I have an ancestor named Elizabeth Dakins Double born Jul 1816 in Harwich Essex. Her parents were John Double and Elizabeth Bowen. John, we believe, was born in Essex and Elizabeth was born in Swansea.

As a child's middle name was usually the surname of a parents mother then it is entirely possible that the DAKINS name could be from any of the places mentioned in the Subject header.

I suppose it is also possible that the registrar misspelt the name and it could be DEAKINS or some similar spelling.

Any information on DAKINS population spread in the UK would also be welcome.
