trying to locate relatives of grandfather, michael dalessandro, born presumably in the abruzzo region 1886/1887. immigrated to us from possinly goriano sicoli or surrounding area in early to mid 1900's. died in san francisco 1961. married 12/24/1914 at age 27 in brockton, mass. to angelkina merolli of goriano sicoli. she was 23.
michael's father's name was frank d'alessandro, mother was angelina nunciata. angelina merolli's father was gregorio merolli, moher was pasqua cerini.

michael may have distant relatives living in or around goriano as when he died in 1961 the parish priest in san francisco wrote to someone in goriano regarding his death. these people notified the priest that he had
family in u.s.a. he disappeared about 1920-22 and no one knew where he was or whether he was alive until 1961.

dalessandro is a common name in italy, however, i cannot find any listings of the name in the italian white pages for Castel di ieri, Raiano, Corfinio or Sulmona which are villages near Goriano. Any information would be appreciated.
