Hi everyone,
I'm trying to research into my father's family, who are HUNTON, with my
g.g.grandfather George Hunton being born in England c.1850 (according to
his entry in the 1881 Census under the name of HINTON!) He was a Mill
worker living in Langholm, and I believe he may have come up from Yorkshire
originally.

I've just been given the Hunton family bible, but I've found it only has
entries for DALGLIESH. My 90 year old uncle says they are cousins, but he
can't remember how we're related, but he does remember staying with them in
Langholm.

Frustratingly the bible has listed the dates of the childrens' marriages,
but not who they married. The family is:

ROBERT DALGLIESH (b. 4:2:1822 - d. 2:3:1902) married MATILDA (LATTIMER?)
(b.4:1:1828 - d.11:1:1906) on 19th May 1849. Their children were:

Elizabeth (13:10:1848 - 17:6:1913) married 10th January 1878
James (8:4:1850 - 20:3:1920) married 28th November 1873
Robert (7:4:1852 - 14:3:1924) married 24th October 1873
Thomas (26:11:1854 - 9:7:1906) married 24th May 1883
William (19:7:1857 - 18:6:1897) married 28th December 1884
Isabella (10:3:1860 - 7:5:1918) married 24th August 1883
Francis (11:9:1862 - 7:8:1913) married 7th May 1886
John (8:5:1865 - 25:4:1924) married 29th October 1888
Mary (20:11:1868 - ?)
Janet Marion (24:8:1872 - 6:1:1938)

I wonder if anybody recognises any of the above?
