Us Dalley's orignate from:

West Yorkshire - Leeds, Morley, Wakefield
London - Westminster
Staffordshire - Stoke on Trent, Stone

Two names stick out to me in searching for Dalley's:

Alfred Carey Lane Dalley - My Great Grandfather
-He was a Violinist and also one of the very first to know how to install central heating. (Staffordshire)
- Married Florence Boulton - Six children

Daintry Dalley - My Great Grand Uncle
-i find Daintry a rare name but not so much information found.
- in WW1 he was a R.A.M.C and from the source I found he was Sergeant.
- He changed his name to George in the Army in fear of being bullied over the name Daintry.
- From sources on here he married a Elsie Dayson

Thomas Dalley, born Herefordshire about 1854

My G grandfather Thomas Dalley (1854-1897) married Bessie Westacott (1855-1935) in 1878 in Cardiff. The marriage certificate shows father as Thomas Dalley, deceased. There were three children of the marriage, William Henry (1883-1965), Lucy May (1885-1941), Bessie (1886-1975). William Henry was my grandfather, who emigrated to Canada in 1908.

The U.K. censuses for 1881 and 1891 show the family living in Cardiff, and Thomas having been born in Herefordshire, specifically the town of Fownhope in one census. I can't find any unequivocal trace of Thomas or his family earlier than the 1881 census, when he's already married. I've looked at records of births and christenings, and at the censuses for 1861 and 1871 without success. Would like to hear from anyone who can shed light on Thomas Dalley and his father Thomas Dalley.

I am a great-granddaughter of James Dalley who was William's brother. I would love to find a picture of William to put in the history I am compiling for our children. I have a good history of Johnson's fort and there is a lot of info about James Dalley, but boy is it hard to find William. Can anyone help me. I'll be glad to share what I have. Harry Lopez who posted on here in 2003 was Irma Casebow's only son. He has since died last week and he was my father. I have a sister named Adrienne who I believe was named after Irma and Noel's cousin.

Its a stretch - My grandfather was called Jack Dalley and emmigrated from the UK prior to the 1st world war. He left behind a wife and one son (I think)..... not sure I have a great deal more information but I do now that there are relatives of this son living in New Zealand.

I have some to share as well. I was reading over my previous posts and I beg to differ...my great grandfather wasn't fair-I had a picture of him and my great grandmother and although the picture was black and white, he didn't strike me as being fair skinned at all. He did have straight hair though. I am frustrated because I cannot get reconnected with the Dalley's I met in Queens, NY back in 2004...I have no idea what I did with their telephone numbers. I reached out to one of Myrtle's daughters and she has no idea who I'm talking about. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you or anyone else out there with information. As I've said before, the plot thickens!....

Myrtle also knows Honey; Reima; ...all the cousins...

John and Sophia had a lot of children....my great grandfather is Harry Alexander Dalley married to Lynette Muschette....

How are you? My Grandfather George's fathers name was James Alexander Dalley. It's amazing...there is family on the Eastern side of the island (Portland) and from what I am gathering, there is a large Dalley Clan on the Western side (Westmoreland area). Hi, as far as I am aware there is no Ronald as one of the children to Alfred in my family tree. Alfred Edward Dalley was born in Dartford, Kent, England then emmigrated to New Zealand, where all is children had their families.

He was b abt 1810 & marr Anne Burke ( Nancy ) Beazley abt 1837 in Essex Co Va. Who were his parents & siblings. Anne was the dau of William Beazley & Elizabeth Ann Burke.
John must have died a few years after their marr as Anne marr George Tylor abt 1837 also in Essex.

Hi my great grandfather was Alfred Edward Dalley who immigrated to New Zealand around 1920. He was born in Crayford, Kent, England 1890. I believe his parents were Henry and Eliza Dalley, both born in Dartford, Kent, England. His brothers were Henry, Richard & William and his sisters were Agnes & Florence, also born in Crayford, Kent, England.

George Morgan Dalley b. 1873 Wood County, Ohio

Searching for any info on George Morgan Dalley b. 19 Oct 1873 Wood County, Ohio. I am not directly related to this person and am only trying to verify info...Here is what I know: He married Jessie Feller(s) abt 1897 Liberty Twp, Wood County, Ohio. Jessie was d/o Enos and Lucretia (Fogler) Feller(s). I can trace Jessie until 1900 census. The 1900 Census shows that Jessie has now married George M. Dalley and they are both 26y. The 1900 census shows that George was born Oct 1873 in Ohio. I cannot find either Jessie or George in subsequent census records no matter how I change the spelling of their names or where I look for them. Jessie's father's obit states that in 1914, Jessie (Mrs. George Dally) was living in Cleveland, Ohio. www.familysearch.org shows that George Dalley died in 1922 but it does not say where and there is no record of a death for Jessie...or any mention of children. The 1900 census shows a daughter, Marie, b. May 1899 but I can find no records of her other than this census.

Any help on this family appreciated so that I can verify some of this information.
