Every now and then I do a web search for the D'Aloia name. I once found an opera singer in Naples which was very exciting, but no email address, just his listing in a program. I would love to get a history of the family, but it looks like now that there is more than one branch. My grandfather was Charley D'Aloia, brother Mike. My grandmother was Lucy. I have a feeling she was my grandfather's second wife, and the name Mercurio figures in there somewhere. And there is also some family intermarriages between the Mercurios and the D'Aloias. I had an Uncle John Mercurio who married Aunt Barbara D'Aloia. I have a wedding picture on my wall which I had blown up and would gladly share it with anyone who wants a copy by email. It's my Aunt Lucy's wedding in 1955 to Peter Lefco (not Italian and was almost a scandal). All of Charley's and Lucy's ten surviving children are in the photo, including Charley Lucy themselves and the bride and groom. The groom is the only non-blood relation in the picture. I can go into more family detail with anyone who wants it in further emails. Would also like to email with anyone in any part of the family who wants to share what we know about the family.
