The Stair-Dalrymple connection was sometimes mentioned in my family folklore. My great-great grandfather was William Dalrymple b.1799 Blackness, Linlithgowshire. (There were two other couples with the name William Dalrymple & Elizabeth Anderson in that region of Scotland, which makes it confusing) My great-grandfather was Robert 1831-1910. He came to Ontario in 1851. Do you have any information on Robert's family, before 1851? Thank you
