I am looking for any information on my father. He was born "Nick Dam". He added Vander to his name at the request of the US Army while serving @ Ft Sam Houston TX in 1944. Dad was the quite it type and never really talked to much about his youth or military career of 32+ years. Dad passed away at Ft Leonard Wood MO in 1984.

Dads family (4 brothers 1 sister)is from Delft Holland and arrived is America approx. 1905. They have traced the lineage back to circa 1600. And have had it published (in Dutch) for the "Family" several years ago.

I beleive he was married 3 times - Opal Dam, Louise(?), and my mother Mary (Allen) Vander Dam.

I'd better stop here I could go on and on!
