I thought some of you might be interested in this story about the Damato family in Jacksonville, FL. This Damato family came from Montecorvino, Salerno, Italy in 1881 - Joseph, a tailor - via Boston. His brother Louis lived in Boston as a barber. Joseph's son Louis and his grandchildren through his other son John are the descendants mentioned in the story who worked in the Jacksonville Post Office for a century. There is an old photo of brothers John & Louis and their mother Angelina Previti (Prevett) included in the story. Since I can't seem to make the url a hyperlink, you'll have to copy and paste it in your browser address bar to see the story. Joseph was my great grandfather.
