My family D'Amelio came from Carlantino provincia di Foggia. I am trying to trace some family ties, especially a brother of my grandfather who went to America during 1900 - 1915 but as there was never any communications between the family, no one knew what happened to him.
I would love to trace my family ties,especially with those now living abroad (i.e. UK, America etc.)
On my grandfather's side there was 5 brothers and 2 sisters

My husband is John D`Amelio.
His grandparents were born near Foggia.
We have a few photos , but little else info.

My grandfather was from Avellino,village of Taurasi.born D'amelio changed to Daniels. I found info on him by googling D'amelio Taurasi ,Italy.. Good Luck.

Hi Joseph ... Thank you for your posting... I'm trying to locate anyone that might be able to help me... to find out if we have any relatives still in Gesualdo... ( where our grandparents came from) I'm new at this and I'm trying to do our family's history...my brother Vincent ( we call him Jim) was in Gesualdo but does not speak Italian ... he was trying to find my Grandpa and Grandma's home...that is Joseph and Louise D'Amelio... my Grandma's maiden last name is Carrabs or our ... Hello, my name is joseph D'Amelio. My fathers (victor) family is from Gesualdo Italy. My grandfathers name was Joseph D'Amelio...Both where born in Gasualdo..What would you like to know?

Looking for information on the D'Amelio's of DiPuglia/DiFoggia Italy. Originated from Castel Baronia then to Monteleone di Puglia circa 1750. Most of the information I have is from a historian in Monteleone (mostly from memory). Records I have confirmed are Francesco D'Amelio (b. 4 Apr 1882 d. circa 1926) married Maria DeRosa (b. 12 Feb 1887 d. 12 Oct 1963). Two children of Francesco and Maria are Gerardo and Silvia.
