I am looking for information on Dr. D. D. MARTIN, (born 1822, KY-died ?), who practiced medicine in Bourbon Co., KY, from 1847-1853.

On the 1850 Bourbon Co., KY census, he is living in a hotel kept by Rachel Thurston:
MARTIN, D. D., 28, phisician, $1,500 real estate, KY
“, Nanny E., 25, KY

On 30 Dec 1858, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Dr. D. D. MARTIN married Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" GWIN (1829-1864), widow of Edmund Henry "Ned" TAYLOR (1812-1851). Sarah E. "Bettie" Gwin was my 3G Aunt.

On the 1860 MS, Warren Co., Vicksburg, MS census, Dr. MARTIN is living with his second wife:
MARTIN, D. D., 38, physician, $5,000 real estate, $3,000 personal estate, KY
“, Sarah E., 30, TN
“, E. C., 14, female, KY
“, J. A., 8, male, KY
“, J. D., 5/12, male, MS
TA[Y]LOR, Mary, 10, MS

The 14-year old female listed as E. C. MARTIN was referred to as Lilly in old family letters, and described as tall. The 8-year old male, J. A. MARTIN, was the second child of Nanny and D. D. MARTIN, but was never referred to by name in the letters. The 5 month old male was Joseph Davis MARTIN, the first child of Dr. MARTIN and his 2nd wife, Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" (GWIN) TAYLOR MARTIN. Lastly 10-year old Mary Henry TAYLOR was the only child born to Bettie GWIN and her first husband, Edmund Henry "Ned" TAYLOR.

Sadly during the years of the Civil War, Dr. MARTIN lost all of his new family in or near Vicksburg, MS:
Stepdaughter, Mary Henry TAYLOR died 25 Feb 1862.
Son, Joseph Davis MARTIN died 11 Oct 1863.
Son, David O. MARTIN, the other child born to Bettie and D. D. Martin, died 16 Mar 1864.
2nd Wife, Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" (GWIN) TAYLOR MARTIN died 31 Mar 1864.

During her years in Vicksburg, Lillie MARTIN had obviously formed a relationship with Dameron James McRAVEN (1842-1905), son of James Harris and Sarah (DAMERON) McRAVEN. James Harris McRAVEN was the son of James and Margaret (McCREE) McRAVEN/McCREEVEN of Hinds Co., MS.
After finally losing Bettie in 1864, Dr. MARTIN must have returned to Kentucky with his two children from the first marriage. Ellen C. "Lillie" MARTIN was wed to Dameron J. McRAVEN 7 Feb 1867, Florence, Boone Co., KY. Poor Lillie died in December of the same year, most probably during childbirth. There is no evidence of a surviving child.
Dameron James McRAVEN married a 2nd time, 1 Feb 1870, Vicksburg, MS, Rosa E. McCAUL. They went on to have five children: Charlie D., Emma Mary, Dameron James, Carl and John Sylvester.

I have been unable to find out what happened to Dr. MARTIN or to his son, J. A. MARTIN, born around 1852 in KY.
Does anyone know the maiden name of Nanny E. MARTIN? ...the names of the parents of Dr. MARTIN?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
