I was very glad to hear from you and I do have quite alot about the Dahms(Dames).
you see my grandmother was Eda Dahms his sister and the children that were born in Germany had the name of DAHMS and the children born in America were named DAMES.
There were three of the kids that were Dahms they were
Gustave,Freda,Eda,Meta
the rest were Dames they are
Edward,Carl,Paul,Walter.
Most of them live or they are buryed in Pottstown,Pa which is where I am from you see Eda married Charles Reininger.
The place where most of them are buryed is HIghland Memorial .
Oh the Parents where from Hammerstien,Germany there names are Edward Dahms d11/26/1938 who married Bertha Heilmore Felix B5/20/1862, d7/26/1955
both are in highland.
I do have morebut the only thing that I wonder about is that as far as we knew Gus was a merchant marine and moved to Calif I do know he had a son Gus but where he went we do not know.
Could he be you Gus?
