Liz I have now found that the Dames changed there name from Dahms which is what it was when they came from Germany to US and then changed it to Dames You can find it inthe censes for the 1900-1930 for Pottstown,Pa. The Father was Edward Dahms who can over about 1890 from Schlorham,Germany
