I have a bit of info on Jeremiah Damman but I'm not sure you don't already have it. I found an obit for his son, Arthur J. Damman, in Ellensburg, Kittitas Co WA 1959. States that Arthur was born in IA and crossed the Plains when he was 6 months old. The family settled near the mouth of Shushuskin Canyon between Yakima and Wenas where the current road is (I believe this would now be the "old" road through the Canyon. Anyway, he was 89 yrs old at his death in Nov 1959, which presumes he was born ca 1870 .

The 1900 Kittitas Co WA census has Arthur J DAMMON b May 1870 IA father b ME mor b Canada. Also living in the household was his wife, Rachel FORD, mother Sabina (Sabrina) DAMMON b Aug 1838 Canada, widowed---her fahter b CT and mor b NY. Listed as mor of 3 children of whom 2 were living at the time. AND, also in the household was Roseanna GRIFFIN, grandmother, born Dec 1814 NY, fa b CT, mor b NY, widow, mother of 7 of whom 3 were living at the time of the census.

I have a bit more info on Roseanna GRIFFIN--she was the second wife of George Washington Griffin (lots of info on his parentage) and supposedly married him as Roseanna June Dammon in CA 1869. I take this to mean that she would have been Jeremiah's mother??

My interest in this is that I am descended from George Washington Griffin and first wife, Rebecca Mariah HIGGINS---we know what happened to Rebecca, but no proof of second marriage other than a daughter's hand-written note. No idea what happened to Roseanna, though I have plans to check for obits, death index, cem, etc for her post 1900. Also have no idea what happened to GW Griffin except for same hand-written note.

So, while I am not a DAMMON, I thought I may have a bit of info you don't have and you may know when and where Roseanne died, and if she was the mother of Jeremiah.
