A Dammann Family Exiled by the Kaiser?: I am searching for a WIlhelmina Dammann

HI. I heard an apocryphal story that some of my Dammann ancestors--unclear on spelling--were exiled by the Kaiser. Has anyone heard anything like that?

I am also looking for info on my Great Grandmother, Wilhelmina Dammann--may be spelled variously: eg. Damon, Daum, Dahman, Domin. She was born in Ohio in 1892, married Samuel Price in roughly 1920, and they lived in Cleveland. Allegedly, she had family in the Youngstown area, worked as a house servant in Cleveland, and graduated from OSU. The spelling of her first name may also vary: eg. Wilhelmina, Wilamina, Minnie, Philemina. I think her father was a William John Dammann, born in 1868 in Ohio and died in 1919. THanks.
