I am trying to determine who the parents of Vital Damour were. H was married to Mary Herrick and had a daughter Florence born in Bay City, Michigan. Vital was killed in an accident in Marinette, Wis in 1888. I found a letter from Marbey Hornsbey to my Grandmother Florence Wilhelmina Klass which indicated that he may be a son of Francois Damour, thereby being a decendent of the "Damours of Canada" the subject of her book. (I found a copy in the Brown
