William Richard Dampier/Dampiere, dates & wife unk., had a daughter Elizabeth Dampier b. Somersetshire, Eng. who married ca. 1627-30 in Dorsetshire? Co.,Eng. to William Henry Dean & came to St. Mary's Co.,Maryland ca. 1639 on his own ship "Betty". It is not know if they stayed in Maryland to returned to England, but is more thought the latter. Their son was William Richard Dean b. 1627 Eng. died Wingate, Dorchester Co.,Md. & is the ancestor of all the Dorchester Co.,Md. Deans.
