August Damrau was a wittness who signed papers for husband's great-grandfather re: Citizenship and Homestead in WI. This was after 1880. Around 1884. Guessing that he was a close neighbor.

Bob, Thsi Frederick was born in 1865. He had 10 children with 2 sons, Joseph and John. I know Frederick has siblings, but I don't know how many or who they are. If I ever do find the names of his siblings, I will re-post. Sorry. Sandi

I have been looking for August Damrau. Accordding to the 1900 census he was from Germany, born abt. 1875, and was married to Elizabeth Nelson of Durham, England. I am related to the Nelson side. I have not found anything further using several different spellings of the name. I do know that Elizabeth attended the funeral of my great grandmother in 1938. The obit said she was Mrs. Elizabeth Damarow from Chicago. <br>Does this sound like anyone you've been looking for?
