I would love to see what you have found in the cemetery...would you give me the address too! My cousin who is now abt 92 visited the cemetery years ago, guided there by a local person who know about the cemetery. William Danberry is there, she saw his grave. I do not know if any of his four wives are there. Mary Snook was his first wife, she may be there.

I think the Danberry Farm cemetery you mention is one I was trying to track down for a while. I finally was able to find it, but it was unfortunately a bit late. The cemetery was virtually destroyed by fallen trees after the big October snowfall we had in 2011.

I did not see William or Catherine Danberry at that cemetery, but that's not to say they aren't there... I did see:

Cora M Danberry (Daughter of Edward N and Margret E) 1890 - 1907

Theodore Danberry (Son of Edward N and Margret E) 1894-1895

I'm not sure how they link in to your line, but maybe that is a help?

Hi...I am from the Danberry, Dansbury line in NJ. My grandfathers are Edward L. Dansbury 1864, George M. Danberry 1829, Daniel Danbury 1796 or 1800, and William Danberry Born 1761.

William Danberry had three or maybe four wives.
Catherine Married William in 1784, Hannah McHaley married 1-23-1813, and Deborah Comtom married 12-13-1817.

Does anyone have the last name of Catherine and the Date of her death? I know she was the mother of two of William's children...her death will help me know how many children she had.

Was Mary Snook another wife...did she have any of Williams children?

What was the final count of his children? seven?

I know that William Danberry is buried in the cemetery on the Danberry farm on Zion Road near Rileyville and Hopewell Nj. I wonder if Catherine is there too!

I am related to the Danberry's that use to be in the Burr Oak area. My fathers name was Ernest and my grandfathers name was Roland Ohio Danberry. I also recognize the name Rue Danberry which I believe that would have been my dads G,Great grandfather. One of my cousins started doing our family tree and I think she had it pretty much done before she passed away. If you have any information I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking for information on Eliza Danberry. Family tradition says she was from NJ but reared in OH. She married a Richard or Edward Cain/Kain in Clermont co. OH. I know there were several Danberry families in Clermont, but I cannot make the connection to Eliza. Would like to exchange info. on the Danberry family. Thanks

I have been collecting information on the "Danberry" name for the past several years and below is what I have for West Virginia. This info has not been verified and should be checked. My Danberry line is from New Jersey and I have been trying to determine where they came from. The earliest mention on a Danberry in America is a Stephen Danbury who received property from Bertram Obert in 1650 in Virginia. Would appreciate any additional info you may have on your Danberry's, since I believe they are probably all connected.

I have a Daniel Danberry in the mid-Michigan area (Cadillac, Manton, Missaukee Co or Wexford Co) in my father's line. No other info except he had a daughter Bertha who died in 1965. She had several siblings, Friend, Amy, that I know of. Bertha married Peter Getter. I am very new at this geneology thing, so I am not sure this is helpful to anyone else. It would be great to find out more about this family.

I have the birth record of Stewart Rue Danderry D.O.B. Aug. 29 1896 Burr Oak, MI Volume C Pg.202 Fathers name, Lewis A. Danberry. Mother name, Jennie Whiting.Bill of sale for a barber shop supplie in Union city MI for $750.00 dated Aug.4 1922 Sold to Stewart R. Danberry and wife Susie E. Danberry. Susie E. Irwin and Stewart were married on July 1,1920 in Burr Oak MI. Susie's Father name D.H. Irwin, Mother name Ceclia Ohman. Her birth place is Van Buren County,MI D.O.B. June 3 1903 D.O.D.June 14, 1964 I have her death certificate and marriage license if you would like a copy. I also know the names of Stwert and Susie's children , Kenneth Irwin Danberry, Kay Danberry /Harper , Thelma Lou Danberry /Dawe If you give me your mailing address I will send you copies of the items I have. Rue Danberry; born 10 Jan 1807 in New Jersey; married Hermoine Stark 5 Jan 1832 in Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Florida, Minaville, Montgomery County, New York; married Caroline (--?--) before 1853; died 8 Mar 1875 in Colon, St Joseph County, Michigan, M; of jaundice at age 68 years 1 month 28 days, recorded on ledger page 118 record number 29.
He immigrated circa 1838 to Michigan. He was a farmer with property valued at $500.00 in 1850. He lived between 1850 and 1860 in Colon Township, St Joseph County, Michigan. He owned real estate valued at $4300.00 and personal property valued at $800.00 in 1860. He was listed on the death record as being female on 1 Jul 1876.

Lewis Alpha Danberry; born 31 Mar 1860 in Colon Township, St Joseph County, Michigan; married Janet S Whiting, daughter of Charles Whiting and Isabella (--?--), 7 Nov 1884 in Bloomfield, Michigan; died 27 Feb 1920 in Burr Oak, St Joseph County, Michigan, at age 59; buried 29 Feb 1920 in Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, St Joseph County, Michigan; lot 277, section 4.
He lived in Jul 1915 in Burr Oak, St Joseph County, Michigan. He was stricken with apoplexy on 1 Apr 1918. He was a member of the I.O.O.F before 1920 in Burr Oak, St Joseph County, Michigan.

The spelling of Danberry was pretty much interchangable form
what I have seen. My Danberry's spelled it Danbury, Dansbury,
Dansberry, Dansburry, smetimes within the the same family.

Where is your husbands family from? I have quite a bit of information
on the New Jersey Danberrys. Members of this family moved to Michigan
and Minnesota. I suspect that the Ohio Danberry's are also from NJ.
