After 30 years of researching my family I seem to have nothing left except brick walls so I'm now doing some far out research. I was told as a child that we were kin to Martha Dandridge Washington's aunt. Checking it out on Ancestry I see only two possibilities.
(1) Her mother Frances Jones had a brother Lane Jones and his wife was Anne Barber. I don't see any other possible aunts on the Jones side.
(2) Her father John seems to have had one brother only, William. His wife was Unity West. I don't see any other possibilites on the Dandridge side.
My question is then: Are there any others I am missing? Also, is there any tradition of Pocahontas descent other than the one of William A. Dandridge to Anne Bolling in 1770.
Thank you for any input you can come up with.
