Hello,
Thank you for the information. I don't have a Dandurand line yet, except that I am trying to connect my ggg grandmother (Helene Oligny Toupinb) to Helene Dandurand m. Francois Oligny 1810. I found Helene Dandurand's name through the Internet. A friend of mine found out that she and H. Francois Oligny were in Albany, NY (1865 NYS census). Since my ggg grandmother Helene Oligny I think she may have been Helen Dandurand's daughter.
An Adelie Dandurand was a witness at my gg grandmother's wedding (Aug 1869). I do not have any more information about her at this point. My ancestors were mainly Catholic French who attended St. Jean Baptiste Church in Troy, NY. I looked in my St. Jean Baptiste books and found no records of Trahan, and the Adelie mentioned above is the only Dandurand. Perhaps they attended another Catholic church like St. Marys, or St. Josephs.
I did find a Marie Aline Danserau, born 12 Feb 1918
parents Alfred and Corinne Baudreau, sponsors: Eugene Baudreau & Lorette Baudreau. Is it possible that Dandurand had spelling variations, and if so, what are they?
I also found an Alphonse Monet, birth: 24 Oct 1879
Bapt.: 26 Oct. 1879
Parents: Alfred & Josephine Thibodeau
Sponsors: Charles Mailloux & Orelie Thibodeau
Also, my books have info on the Gregoires and Thibodeaus, let me know if you want that too.
I have only just started this line of research and have been in contact with several people. I will email you as soon as I learn anything else. I would love to be able to connect your Dandurands to mine (if they are mine!)
Thanks again,
Virginia
