I have a Charles DANDO b. abt. 1813, son of George DANDO. They are most likely from the Westerleigh/Frampton Cotterell area near Bristol. Nothing can be found on either George or Charles to connect them to other DANDO families in the area. I have been told it is quite possible that their name was once DANDY and was changed to DANDO in the late 1700's or early 1800's. This has been seen with other DANDY families in the same area.

By 1838 Charles DANDO was living in Blaenavon, Monmouthshire, Wales where he married Jane PARKER and they immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1848.
