The Dang Family in Vietnam was moved from HaiNam China ...about 500 years ago.. or even more.. Then The family follow one of the Lord TRinh Or Nguyen during the time to Binh Dinh VietNam where they settled...U guys can trace it back to Phu Cat Binh Dinh VietNam thats is where the Family House are at..the story is from my grandfather and also from my great grand father..The father have 7 sons...They all cary different Middle Name .. My branch which is my grand Father branch Is Van..I think the H initial for middle name is part of it. I'm pretty sure.. i heard my grandfather said every year they holding like a family meeting...but we stop going there ever since my great grandfather time.. so we bacsicly kindda lost touch with the family..

Your family line is of Chinese descent which you already know. Our surname started at the fall of the Zhou Dynasty in China when the Shangs defeated our ruling family ancestors. Our bloodline is of royalty as are many others. The Zhou change to multiple surnames to avoid prosecution from the new ruling family. Wu and Lee are other surnames that is originally tied to our same bloodline.

I have found out that my last name DANG has its origins in China. THe chinese last name DENG is the same as Dang, but that Dang is just the Vietnamese way of spelling it. I have also been told that my great-grandfather's cousin was the Communist Leader Deng Xiaoping. I would like to find out if whether or not this is factual.
