Lookinf for any information about Franklyn Keller Daniels or his family. Facts I know are Father Francis Daniels b Waterford CT Mother Emma Keller b Chelsea MA. Franklyn b 11/14/1906 Married Margaret Dorothy LaJoice and lived in Rutland VT. Possably had a brother Ernist and a sister Lillian who never married. Franklyn was Killed on 2/7/1940 in an exploshion at the Danby VT marble quarry. He is burried in the Evergreen Cemetary in Center Rutland VT
I know of his decendants but The two families drifted apart after his death and now all I can find is from my mothers faint memory If you can help I would be greatfull

I'm looking for information on my great grandfather ALEXANDER DANIEL. Daniel is not his given last name rather the name he was assigned when he immigrated to the United States. His given last name was Demiderchek (alternate spelling possible).

Alexander was born August 2, 1885 in a town in Austria. This is arguable because at the time the possession of the town in which he was born alternated between Russia and Austria. I am unaware of what the name of the town actually was however.

I am assuming that Alexander immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's. I think that because my grandfather was born in the United States in 1919 and he recalls that his parents already had their life set up when he was growing up. When Alexander immigrated to the U.S. he resided in East Lyme, Connecticut, where he died in February of 1971.

He was married to a women named MARY (I do not know her town of origin, or her maiden name). They had two sons, one of which is my grandfather, George, and his brother, Michael.

Any information as to Alexander's parents, town of birth, or marriage records of either his parents, or his own to Mary would be greatly appriciated.

He married Phebe Dean in 1849 and was listed in the 1850 census in Harmony Twp next door to Hosea Slayton, father of Almeda Slayton who married Orange Daniels. Also in the Daniels household was Lucy age 60 born in Vermont and Cordelia age 16 born in New York. Samuel and Phebe moved to Knox county, Illinois before 1860.

I can't help you with Alice's husband, but I can fill you in on Alice. She was the younger sister of my grandfather, Henry Osborn Daniels, born 08 Aug 1884. Their siblings were: Myrtle M, born Augus 1886; Charles Warren, born 10 Jan 1891; Gladys B, born Mar 1900 Evelyn G, born 1903; Emma W, born 1904 and Estella M, born 1907 - all in Eastham. Their parents were Charles Cushing Daniels (28 Aug 1862, Gloucester, MA - 28 Aug 1927, Eastham, MA) and Mary Gertrude Cole (May 1867, Wellfleet, MA - 21 Dec 1918, Eastham, MA). According to the 1910 census, Alice had been married less than a year. I can find nothing on the husband, but suspect that he might have been a fisherman or something to do with the sea, as were most of the people on Cape Cod at the time. Have you tried getting Myrtle's birth certificate from the Eastham Town Clerk's office? They are very nice there and very helpful.

Help! Please. I’m looking for information on the William Daniels (1866-1932) family. He and his wife Martha Grünhagen were married in Carver Co. Minnesota. Their first five children; William, Alma, Leona, Albert and Hilda were all born in MN. between 1889 and1897.
About 1900 they moved to the Lamona Washington area, where it is believed they raised grapes. This is also where their last three children; Emma, Elsie and Clarance were born. Most of the family migrated to the Lodi, California area.

Daniels Family in Gloucestershire

This is a long shot but just wondering if any one has researched the Daniels or Eli families in Gloucestershire back as far as 1600.

I ask because I live in an old Cotswold stone cottage in Westrip, near Stroud in Gloucestershire. The house is believed to have been built sometime between 1600-1650. The roof has an elm timber frame and on one A-frame the names ELI + DANIELS has been elegantly carved. Almost as if they were leaving their mark.

Just wondered if anyone had unearthed a Daniels or Eli - carpenter/builder – from around that period living in Gloucestershire. Thanks

I have been trying to find out who the parents of my gggrandfather, James M. Daniels, were. This was a HUGE Daniels family (12 children!) and I find it difficult to believe that no one else is researching this line!

I did a very brief search for the Daniel boys and found that a Daniel, John
& Ayres, Mary were married in Fayette County IN 8/11/1825. Also, A Daniel,
Payton and a Embree, Nancy were married 3/24/1825. In the burials at Orange
Cemetery (formerly Fayetteville) that is a John Randolph Daniel, died Jan.
1841; Eliza Daniel, wife of W.J., died 1863, age 59; a W.J. Daniel, died
1880, about 80 years old; and a Mary A. Daniels, wife of W.J., died1877, age
52. I kept seeing the name Wylie Daniels who died 4/5/1880.
Unfortunately, death notices were rather brief that year, "Wylie J. Daniels,
the oldest and one of the most respected citizens of Fayetteville, died at
his home in that village on Monday of old age and general debility." I
threw this tidbit in because in a court record dated May 17, 1847, it
states, "In an entry concerning the insolvent estate of Randolph Daniels
dec. were listed; Martha the widow, ____Daniels, John Daniels, Peyton,
Edward and James Daniels, Elizabeth the wife of Greenberry Steele, Polly Ann
the wife of Aaron Lewis, Nancy Ann the wie of Geo. W. Ginn. The petition was
amended to include Wiley Daniels and Catharine Wilson." I think your
John used Randolph some - have you explored that possibility? In another
court document, "the will of Alexander Ayres dec. was entered June 10, 1833
and recorded Sept 18, 1833." Alexander is probably the father of Mary
Ayres... cuz Paton Daniel was a witness to the will... Likely, yes -
proved, no. But another clue for you... Unfortunately, we have very few
real early newspapers like 1841 and even it we did, J.R.'s obit would
probably read something like, "he died."
JOHN RANDOLPH DANIEL died Jan 18, 1841 and is buried in the Old Orange cem., in Fayette co., IN.

Roosevelt Daniels Married to Mary (unknown maiden name) Roosevelt had numerous childern of which Roosevelt Daniels Jr., Douglas, Bonnie, Geneva and others. I have had trouble sorting this out.
JOHN H. was born 1802 N.C. and died 1897 Indpls, IN.
His death certificate shows his father as JOHN R. DANIELS bn Va and mother as MARY BURK bn Ps.
In Fayette co., In. JOHN R. DANIEL and MARY , bn IN.,resided after moving there and had a son PEYTON bn N.C.
One source has PEYTON going to Wabash co., In, where he died and is shown as a DANIELS and buried in the DANIELS cemetery. He is shown in the census as PATON DANEL.
This same source shows that a son JOHN of JOHN R. DANIEL married a MAY AYRES in 1924
The Marriage records show a JOHN DANIEL marrying a MARY AYRES, in 1924. The 1840 census of Fayette co. shows JOHN R. DANIELS on one page, and on the next page is a JOHN DANIELS living next to an ALEXANDER AYRES. Could this be the father of MARY AYRES.
In 1845 JOHN H. DANIELS marries a SARAH ANN LEWIS and brings 2 children, from a previous marriage, with him. Could this be the children of him and MARY AYRES.
In 1842 a brother to SARAH ANN LEWIS (AARON LEWIS)marries a MARY DANIELS, in Fayette co., In. Could this be a sister to JOHN H. DANIELS, or is it his ex wife>.
A PAYTON DANIELS is shown in the Franklin co., In as a resident of Andersonville, In, as a transferee.
My grandmother, often talked of growing up in Andersonville, In., where her father JOHN H. was a grocer.
While I cannot prove that JOHN H. is the son of JOHN R., there are many similarities.
Like the name of EDWARD and RANDOLPH being used in both lines. Only difference between the 2 MARY'S is mine has a last name and was born in Pa. while the one shown as the wife of JOHN R. was born In.. Could this just be an error in the reporting?
Hopefully, someone can straighten this out.

My great-grandmother's maiden name is Daniels. Various family sources have told me that she's of mixed heritage, but no one knows what said mixture is. She is some combination of half-Black, half-Native American, and half-White. (She's 2 of those 3)

Her parents are named Elijah and Emmeline(Emmerline?), and they reside somewhere near Homer, Louisiana in Claiborne Parish.

I know she was born in 1860, and that her funeral was held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Homer. Any help is appreciated.

can anyone tell me about Vulkert Daniels? I am looking for a Wolcott Daniels of Steuben Co., NY, but I can only find a Vulkert Daniels. both m. a Mary A., and she was b. abt 1838 in New York.
our Mary Ann Harpending Daniels, b. 1833-1839 NY/CT, the Harpending's being of Steuben and Schuyler Co.'s in New York. Vulkert had two known daughters by Mary A.-Sarah Elizabeth and Cornelia. he disappears after 1860, then reappears in 1900 with a new wife, Vina, and a new daughter, Lena. the ages for the two Vulkert's don't match (and in 1850 he's written down as Bulcart, in 1860 he's written as Vulcert, as he is also written in 1900-or is it Vulkert.), but I believe they probably are the same man. both are in Steuben Co., NY

Hi, I'm trying to determine the relation of a Hiram Hale (Sr.) (b. 1805 MA)to Nathan Hale (m. Sarah Everett). I don't think he's a son, might be a nephew, but I can't seem to find clear info on Nathan's siblings or their descendents.

Hiram had a son also named Hiram, wife's name unknown to me, but they had a daughter Anna (probably born NY) who married into the Daniels family (Robert, I think) somewhere around 1865. (I think Anna's sister Martha (1843 NY) might have also married a Daniels - Henry, 1841 MI?)

Anyway Anna had a daughter Louise Daniels (b. 1867 MI). She married into the Orr family.

If any of this rings a bell, please, let me know!

Looking for info on the family of Benjamin Daniels. He was born in Vermont (Vergennes) then moved to Westville, NY, enlisted in the Civil War and moved to Illinois where he married Vesta Eaton.

He later moved to California and died in San Francisco around 1892.

His wife was first married to William Smith. She had 5 children, the first 3 with Smith but they took the name of Daniels, i.e. Roy, Leo, Cora, George and Arthur.

George and Cora apparently died respectively in 1951 and 1965 but I lost trace of other family members after the 1920 and 1930 Census.

I am still searching for an unknown Daniels who was married to Joseph William Crafard. Between 1933 and 1947. They were living in Michigan, possibly Genesse County. Unknown Daniels would have been born between 1910 and 1920. Joseph may have gone by the name of Joe or Bill.. She either died giving birth or shortly there after. The child died while Joseph was serving in WWII. Does any one have any information on this????

In 1900, he was living in Salamanca NY with wife Anna (McCann?) Children were Charles Henry and Leo Williams. Charles was married to Eunice Foster and had a daughter named Mary in 1914 and lived in Rochester NY.

William Daniels is probably dead in 1914 in Salamanca.

This woman was my 3rd great grandmother. She married George W Pace who died in 1864 & they had 1 son Stephen Pace ( I have Stephens death certificate that shows his parents names)

Now this is where it gets confusing. She remarried twice after that.

BOTH of them are shown in the records here & the World Family Tree as having married her on the same day, July 7, 1873. When Elizabeth died, her death certificate shows the name Elizabeth Smith, so it stands to reason that was her 3rd and final marriage. I saw somehing somewhere else that showed Elizabeth getting married when she was 13 to Pierce, but he only had 1 daughter Fannie I beielve her name was & she was born in 1875, plus the record I saw had her at age 13 - this doesn't work - he maiden name whan she married GWP was Lee. So when did she marry her two husbands after GWP???

I am looking for info on Jerome Celand Daniels born in NY 1842 had 3 brothers and 1 sister that i know of. Brothers names where Benjamin(sp proably wrong) Alphonzo, Loyal and the sister i think is Mary. He served in the Civil war on the union side with Alphonzo who was killed in front of Jerome in thier tent. Jerome then moved to MN where he married Ostella Atkins in Glydon Minnesota. She died in 1899 and he moved to Mississippi and married again. I am looking for Jerome's parnets and any info on his brothers or sisters. I have info from Jerome down if anyone is related and wants it let me know.

Searching for info on Benjamin Daniels, born 1782, Lewis NY, married Elizabeth Mare (Betsy), born 1790 - had a daughter Amanda Daniels born in 1820 and a son Benjamin born in 1836. If they had other children I've been unable to find them. Amanda married in 1860 to William Noyes and they lived and raised their family in Hopedale MA. I've been unable to locate their place of marriage other than NY where their first two children were born. I suspect Amanda may have been married before. Karen Sue Daniels Karen Sue Daniels, 55, of Rustburg, Va., died Thursday, January 17, 2008. She was the wife of Jeffery Alan Daniels. Mrs. Daniels was born March 26, 1952, in Erie, Pa., a daughter of Rita Cochrane Fagley of Erie, Pa., and the late Clarence “Hal” Fagley. She was a member of the House of Prayer in Buckingham, Va. She was a powerful woman who, along with her husband, dedicated her life to the service of her God and His people. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers, Ron Fagley and wife Becky of Lake City, Pa.,
and Mark A. Fagley and wife Maria of Girard, Pa.;
her brothers-in-law, Aaron Daniels and wife Linda of Woodlawn, TN,
David Daniels of Albion, Pa.,

Ada Holman Light, 91, of Clarksville died Thrusday, November 1, 2007, in Rudy.
She was born November 14, 1915, at Lamar, daughter of the late Luke Wade and Elizabeth Daniels Holman, member of Mount Vernon Chruch of Christ and Hagarville HD Club, preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Pearson; and a son, Howard "Bud" Pearson.
Survivors include husband, Verless Light; sons, Ben Pearson and wife Sandra of Rudy; one step-daughter Karen Mangrum and husband Donnie of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Travis Pearson of Roland, Oklahoma, Jason Pearson of Hiwasse, Arkansas; four step-grandchildren, Laura Grill, Van Buren, John Watkins and wife Becky, Fort Smith, Marissa Manfrum, Laporte, Texas, Brent Mangrum and wife Amy, Webster, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Grill, Hunter Grill, Ransom Pearson, Ashley Duschinsky, Sidney Manfrum and Ryder Mangrum; and one great-great-grandchild.

Does anyone have any infornation on a Elizabeth DANIELS who married say 1791-1815 Jesse SMITH possibly in Wilkes Co.?, North Carolina?

Their probable son was Pleasant H. SMITH, b ca 1818 - d ca 1892 Clinton Co., KY? He married ca 1850 Irene Bell Wood, possibly in Clinton Co., KY.

Some sources said that he was the child of Jesse Smith and Elizabeth Daniels and the grandson of George Smith and Rebecca Bowen. Thankyou.

ADRIAN — Ezra Nathan Daniels, age 91, of Adrian is now absent from the body but ever present with the Lord. He completed the earthly days allotted to him on Dec. 8, 2007, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility, where he had resided since October.
He was born on May 12, 1916, in Whiteford Township to Orin and Elizabeth (Beck) Daniels. Ezra married Ellen Traub on Feb. 8, 1941, in Deerfield, Mich. Ezra spent the past 56 years farming and for many years raising cattle until his retirement at his Madison Township farm homestead.
Ezra was an active member of the Fairfield Baptist Church and through the years served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and on many church boards. He had a special musical talent and became an accomplished saxophone player. He began playing the E flat clarinet at the age of 5 and for years played in city bands with his father and brothers. He frequently proviced special music for many churches and for special occasions in the community. In his later years, he enjoyed playing his saxophone at nursing homes and visiting with the residents. He had been a member of the Blissfield and Adrian Christian Businessmen Association for years. For many years he faithfully led church services and provided special music at the Toledo Rescue Mission and also participated in the church services at the county jail.
Ezra was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, four brothers and one grandson. He is loved and survived by two sons, Philip (Janice) Daniels of Texas and Gary (Letha) Daniels of Adrian; one daughter, Dawn (Michael) Eliott of Adrian; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Ezra loved the Lord. His greatest desire was for no one to perish without knowing Jesus Christ as their Savior. He has passed the torch and will be greatly missed until we meet him again in heaven.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Stephen Boley officiating. Burial will follow in the West Madison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairfield Baptist Church. Condolences to the family may be made at www.pursefuneralhome.com.

ADRIAN — Earl J. Daniels, age 81, of Adrian passed away Nov. 29, 2007.
Earl was born March 12, 1926, in Sand Creek, the son of Roy and Florence (Anderson) Daniels. He married Virginia Hall in Indiana and they celebrated 46 years of marriage. She survives.
He was employed at Hoover Ball Bearing for 27 years. During World War II he served his country in the United States Navy.
Besides his wife, Virginia, Earl is survived by his two children, four stepchildren, two brothers and one sister.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian. Condolences to the family may be made at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
