My name is Lauren-Alice Danielsen, and I am the grand daughter of a Olaf Sigurd Yohun Danielsen, my father was never intrested in our Norwegian roots and doesn't remember much of my grandfather's stories or family members, but since before I can remember I've had this desire to know them, or just...anything. When my grandfather died before my brith, he took the secrets I long for with him. If anyone has any information at all regarding his name or his sisters name Anna Danielsen, she resides in northern norway then I would be eternally grateful. Thank you.

My name is Dan Danielsen from Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A. There is Niels Peter Danielsen in my family tree a very long time ago. Their is also a Mads Danielsen from way back. I do know that my family came to the U.S.A. in the mid to late 1800's from Denmark. I have also seen the name Rasmussen (I believe I have) in my grandmothers writings (around 25 years ago) Before my grandmothers died (1991)?, she showed me pictures of some the Danielsen families (same family tree) living today in Denmark. I am going to ask my dad where all my grandmothers records are at. I hope that the records were not in the old family farm house that burn down 2 years ago.

I have an original postcard photograph of “Helen May Danielsen – 4 months, 2 days, two teeth”, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in about 1915, in Lewistown (Fergus Co.) Montana, and Helen is wearing what is probably a christening gown.

I found Helen Danielsen in the 1920 census for Fergus Co., MT, age 6, daughter of Alfred Sr. and Hilda Danielson. Montana Death Index shows Helen Danielsen as wife of Ira Holsapple, who had lived in Havre, MT.

My GrGrandfather, Peter Danielsen, came to USA from Denmark abt 1882-83, settled in WV and raised his family under the name of Danielson. Some of his children stayed in WV, some with to Cleveland, Oh area. He filed his "intention to become a Citizen" in Wheeling, WV in 1888. Anyone on this list have Denmark relatives? August Henrik Danielsen was my great great uncle. His brother, Daniel Theodore Danielsen came from Copenhagen, Denmark in 1865, settled in South Carolina and never returned to Denmark.
However, August Henrik Danielsen, born in 1844 in Copenhagen, baptized at Trinitatis Church in Oct. 1844 in Copenhagen. Both were the sons of Niels Christian Danielsen and Johnane Kirstine Andersen.

Am looking for any descedants of August Henrik Danielsen. Are there any out there???
If so, I need to correspond with them.

My grandfather, Martinus Skipnes, came over to Canada
and left behind all of his family. One of his sisters
(Jakobine) was married to a Danielsen. They later had
kids and one was named Alfred. If anyone knows anything
please let me know.

This is my grandfather,born in Vik, Saltdalen
or Rognan, Norway 02 02 1877. The family came to the U.S.
in June, 1884. His father's name was Daniel
Jacobsen. He had at least two brothers, John, and Joseph.
John told me that when my grandfather joined
the army (13th Minnesota Volunteers, Co. H)
in 1898, he "cut the -en off the name" to
make it more American.
My grandfather was naturalized 02 24 1902 in
Ramsey county, Minnesota, and in 1908, married
Jennie Standish Millward, who may have been
born in Minneapolis 08 09 1891.
Hacon Daniels was killed in a mine accident
in Butte, Montana in 1916.
I have talked to my great uncle John, who was
a sculptor of some reputation, and I have
been to Rognan. I do not know anything about
Jennie Standish Millward's background.
Any other stories about Daniels(en) or
Millward would be welcome.
