Hi - This thread is a bit old but I am hoping some of you are still around. I think we may be connected. My ggrandmother Rosina Dorothy Dannettell was the one ggparent I thought I would never be able to trace. All we knew was that she was born in Chestnut Ridge, Ind. in 1842, and her father was from France. Then I found an article at www.jacksoncountyhistory.org/books/ index.asp?book=brantfuller&page=759 with a bio of Henry C Dannettell, who was born in France in 1815, moved to Germany, then to the US in 1832, living first in Baltimore before moving to Cincinnati and eventually Chestnut Ridge, Ind, where he had several children, including a "Rosa D". Is Henry C a brother of Margaret Sophia and son of Cort? I would love to hear any more you have on this family. Thanks.
