James E. D'Antonio, 66, of Greenock, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, in his home. Born June 15, 1944, in Glassport, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Angeline (Trunzo) D'Antonio. An atendee of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and retiree of GM's Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin, James served with the Army as a military policeman during the Vietnam War and was a member of the UAW Local 544. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Reese) D'Antonio; his son, Nicholas; his daughter, Christine; his stepdaughter, Annette; his sisters, Donna (Ralph) Falk, of Jefferson Hills, Darlene (Ron) Kelly, of Cranberry Township, and Linda D'Antonio, of Glassport; his brothers, Fred (Bernie) D'Antonio, of White Oak, and Ron (Helen) D'Antonio, of Wilkins Township;
and also nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 4504 Walnut St., McKeesport,. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth Township with Father Thomas Wagner as celebrant. Procession and burial to follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery in North Versailles. The family asks that any memorial contributions in James's name be made to the American Cancer Society, Soutwest Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
