I am trying to trace the ancestry of my Grandmother who was a Darby. I have some information from a family reunion we attended in Redvers Saskatchewan in 1979. The line is as follows;
Joanna Rosevear 1808 run away from Devonshire England with a Miller named Hooper.Settle in the Port Hope area of Ontario. She had two sons who went off to the States and had one daugher -
Joanna Hooper (1829-1904) m) Joseph Darby 1829-1857)
They had 2 boys 2 girls, Joseph died young at age 28). I only have the name on the son we decended from Joseph John Todd Darby(1857-1914) m)Harmony Jane Wilcox (1867-1916).
Their son Wellington Percy Darby (1884-1949 m)Mary Jane Prentice(1884-1958). They had three children Elva Rose (1906), Nettie Mina. My grandmother was born in Redvers Saskatchewan. My great grandmother found life on the farm too hard and returned to Ontario with the three girls. Percy then remarried a Annie Elizabeth Bultitude. If you have information on the Darby history it would be greatly appreciated.
