Hi, my great grandfather James Darby was born in chattris cambridge 1871 and his father was John, born 1822 in Doddington. On 1881 census they were living in doddington, by 1901 they were living in Rawtenstall lancs where my Mums family is from (mum was born in Rishton and grew up round Accrington and Blackburn)James married Ada Williams and they had a daughter Mary who married James Smith and they were the parents of my Mum Doreen. Doreen was born 1919 and joined the WAFs where she met my Dad and then settled here in Liverpool. Dont know if Darby was a common name on Cambridge but any help would be appreciated,
