Dear Edward,
That is exactly the same thing i was informed of ( the "French-Connection"). and the spelling was also D'Ardis. There sre many similarities with the Edward, Christopher, James, Joseph names ,as it is now there is one or two of each of these names in my family tree. County Meath is also mentioned. My family came over in the early part of the century. I recall that my grandfather may have had 5 brothers and two sisters. All with the above maentioned names the name Raymond Dardis is familiar.
