Hi Karen, my name is Virginia Ann Dare, Finch. From my family, past down from my granddaddy,Joseph Dare of Collinsville,Pa. born 02-17-1880, died 10-08-1935.I have been told that the original Virginia Ann Dare was the first white baby born in the colonies and at about the age of three she was taken from her family for reasons unknown,possibly the family died from sickness or from hunger or whatever the reason. But the Indians found her or took her. And because of her pale skin and blonde hair and blue or green eyes, they believed her to be sent from the gods and made her an Indian princess. Have you found any further info on this? I was named after her being I was the first girl born in my family from way back then. i just now turned 40.
