Good afternoon,
I was thrilled to read the (admittedly old) message regarding the above.
I have only just found what I believe to be a connection with the Darke 'clan' of Worcester. My many-times-great-grandparents were William and Elizabeth Maddox - married at Whittington, Worcester on the 22nd May, 1791. I believe her maiden name was Dark(e) and as one of the witnesses at the wedding was Leonard Dark(e) I am hoping she is the daughter of Leonard and Mary (not sure which Mary, though) and was baptised at St. Peter's, Worcester on the 29th November, 1767. I have only been looking at the Darkes for a few days, but it is so confusing with so many Leonards, Williams, etc. to sort out who belongs to whom! Though I have quite a few baptisms and marriages to tie up next time I visit the family history museum.
I note you have a lot of information on the Darkes in Worcester, which I would be very grateful to receive.
If you think I am on the right lines with 'my Elizabeth' please contact me and I will forward my e-mail address for ease.
Many thanks,
Briony
