My maiden name was D'Astugues, and I was just in the village of Astugue in the south of France because my cousin Simone lived there but died in tragic circumstances.

We are an English branch of the family, now very few in number. My grandfather Eugene had a brother Gabriel, and I believe they lived in Caixon, 20 miles from Astugue. My grandfather (born 1889) had two sons Andre (d.1966) and my father Marcel. Andre' s 3 kids were Pierre (d.1997 in California), Marcelin, living in Denmark and Simone who died 2 weeks ago. Pierre had an American son (Daniel), Marcelin has two Danish kids (Xavier and Danielle) and Simone had an English daughter (Cara, a dancer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris). My father has two daughters, my sister Clare who lives in Singapore, no kids, and me Nicola, a lawyer living in London. My two boys have a different surname.

I guess we all came from the same family originally. It would be nice if we could do a little work on this.
