Hi Bvl54, No I have heard of Slate Lick but have never been there is that in Indiana or Armstrong County? I can tell you the Hills are tied to the Daughertys,Doughertys but never knew much info on them an I always thought the Painters would be just because the Painters were from Penn Township as the Daughertys were at that time in life. Gladys Daugherty obit
Gladys H. Daugherty, 88, of Murrysville, died Monday, July 1, 1991. She was bo rn Oct. 29, 1902, in Glassport, a daughter of the late George and Hattie Ann S huster Hill.
She was one of the founders of the Murrysville Golden Age Club. She was a volu nteer worker for Friends' Thrift Shop, Export.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ch arles E. Clawson in 1922; and her second husband, Elmer T. Daugherty in 1989.
She is survived by a son, William E. Clawson of Penn Hills; two daughters, Mar y Ann King of Export RD2 and Catherine E. Uncapher of Trafford RD1; nine grand children; and two great grandchildren.
DAUGHERTY - Friends of Gladys H. Daugherty, 88, of Murrysville, who died Monday, July 1, 1991, will be received at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Disease Alliance of Western Pennsylvania
