We've e-mailed before regarding this, but after doing some more research, maybe we should look at it again. Please check my web site at
www.geocities.com/dgkuhns/schoenfeldbilder.html which is about an area your great-grandfather may have come from, in current Poland, but at that time Silesia. Here is some information I didn't have last time, which I now have:
my great-great Grandmother, Johanna, was born as Johanna DAUSEL in Alt Oels, married a DEHMEL, and then married a STARKE. Johanna DAUSEL had at least 2 brothers, and maybe 3, including Gottlieb DAUSEL, Gottfried DAUSEL, and perhaps Herman DAUSEL. They lived in Alt Oels, Buchwald, and Bunzlau, where one was a contractor.
Gottlieb could be Gottlob, Vilhelm in Danish is probably Wilhelm. I believe he died (Gottlob did) in about 1904-1905. Does that match up with what you have? OR, it is possible that your family is from the children of those people. Most were born in about 1830s-1840s.
