Many of us who now go by the name Doutt are looking for the man Johannes/Johan/John Daut born in 1778 and married first to an Elizabeth, then Catherine Gut/Guth/Good... They had several children and have been found in Lehigh County, PA church records early 1800. We have been told a story about Johannes having a brother Daniel with a wife Maria Barbara.(Children of this union that we know of are Daniel, Judith, Susanna, and Eli all born in the early 1800s) . We have seen their names linked as sponsors for children. Daniel, Maria and family appear to have just disapeared...
John Daut/Doutt settled closer to the western PA area to raise his family but the name has been seen more as Doutt. If anyone has any information regarding any of these folks feel free to email me. (luv2walk2@yahoo.com)
