Blanche “Bea” E. DaValle
Blanche “Bea” E. Honard DaValle,
a life long resident of Waterford, died Tuesday morning, March 3, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Arbuckle, Pa., December 27, 1933, daughter of the late Wilma Adsit Honard Gillette. She was employed many years as a custodian for the Ft. LeBoeuf School District. She was previously employed by Allied Aluminum Co., Elgin Electronic and Union City Fiberglass Boat.
Bea was a 1951 graduate of Academy High School and a Waterford Lioness,
her passion was cooking with a big highlight of meeting Chef Emeril Lagasse. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Donald G. DaValle; four daughters, Joyce DaValle and her companion, Raymond Schuschu of Erie, Helen Shamp and her husband, Tony of Waterford, Melody A. DaValle and her beloved dog, CeCe of Waterford and Carol LaFlamme and her husband, Timothy of Waterford; two sons, Donald A. DaValle and his wife Carolyn of Harborcreek and John J. DaValle and his wife, Brenda of Charlotte, N.C. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Belinda Schal of S.C., Jeremy DaValle of Pittsburgh, Caralee DaValle, Ryan DaValle of N.C., Heidi Sanders, Carrie Shamp, Denise LaFlamme and TJ LaFlamme; two step grandchildren, Tim Laughlin and Krista Lanager and her husband, Greg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Honard and a grandson, Joshua J. DaValle. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Luncheon Saturday, March 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 27 West 2nd Street, Waterford. Russell C. Schmidt and Son, Inc. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial was at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ft.
