Here's a YDNA project I set up a few months ago.

http://www.familytreedna.com/public/DeVault/

We're learning as we go. I've already found (through DNA) that my DeVault line is a close match with a Tevault line from Virginia.

Let me know if you're interested because as many of us know - the spelling of our surnames changed with time and if you're only looking at your surname in your research you're probably missing the big picture. In the project now (I'm updating this 3/2014, we have Tevaults, Dewalts, Duvalls, and many other similar sounding surnames in the project. Several of which have found ties to other lines from other surnames in the project. This can tell you where to quit wasting your time in your research and where to concentrate it. And it's just interesting. :)

Currently we have no Davaults in the project - we'd love to have someone join.

Thanks,
Dave DeVault (whose ancestors surname was spelled aout a dozen ways).
