I've been trying to contact you for some time. I hope you see this. :)

This is what my husband has come up with, or what he feels ties my William Davenport to Nancy Catlett:

3rd great Grandfather was John W. Davenport...

Father - William Davenport - virginia b.1785 d.1815
Mother - Nancy Catlett - Virginia b.1788 d.1876 in Stark Co. Ohio

William went off to fight the War of 1812, died three months after the war ended in 1815.

Nancy at some point between 1812 and 1815 remarried to John Filson.

John Filson shows up in 1820 census in Morgan, Greene Co, PA. with family.

John and family show up in tax records in 1828 in Knox, Columbiana Co, OH (very near Alliance, Stark Co, OH.)

John William Davenport shows up in 1834 as tenant farmer in Jefferson, Greene Co., PA.(extremely close to Morgan, Greene Co. PA)

John William Davenport marries for the first time in 1836 to Priscilla Haver.

They have four kids:

William - 1840
George - 1842
Hiram - 1844
John C. - 1847

John W. appointed constable of Jefferson Township in 1838.

John W. and Priscilla move to Morgan in 1845.

Priscilla dies in 1847, probably due to complications with childbirth.

John W. marries Ruth Ann Phillips in 1850 in Stark Co. Ohio. and moves to Wells Co. IN.

We find it odd that John would go to Ohio (when he lives in Indiana) to get married to Ruth, unless he wanted to get married where his mother was, so she could attend.
