Joanna.......Susan Davenport Brown is my grandmother on my father's side. She was Hugh's brother. If my memory is correct, Hugh and Susie's mother was Barbara Elizabeth Mikels Davenport and their father was Jacob Davenport. I hope this helps you out.......I've been retired a few years now and I've been thinking about tracing the Brown and Davenport family trees........but I haven't started yet. I have a small photo of who I think is Hugh and Barbara......it is about 2 x 3 inches, black and white, and dim. I'm going to take it to a photo studio and see if they can restore it. The picture is of them standing outside a frame house.
She appears to be under 5' tall and he looks to be about 6'6" with a big unkempt beard. I can't prove that this is a photo of them, but when I was growing up, I was shown this picture and told that it was my great grandfather and great grandmother.
