Hello Mr. Daves,
William Harrison Daves is my great great great grandfather, his daughter Arthusa Daves (later Reasoner, then Castleman) was my great great grandmother. I would appreciate any information that you may have. I have recently learned through an interview with my great aunts that Arthusa was related to Robert E. Lee somehow and that she sat on his lap as a child. The General did live two counties away from Palo Pinto, where the Daves of that time lived, in the years prior to the Civil War. Do you know if the link was through the Daves family?
