My great aunt was was Cordelia Cora Davidson, born in Tennessee. She married an R.D. Morgan. It has been said the indians used initials instead of first names. The Morgans left for Oklahoma in a covered wagon,in 1898, from Byrdstown, Tenn.. Which is now Pickett co,tn..Was once Fentress co, Tn..The mother of Cora Davidson Morgan, was Sarah Matilda Hix/Hicks. The Hix were said to be of indian blood. Black dutch refers to the black forrest of Holland.
The Morgans lived and died in Pryor, Oklahoma.Cora's brother moved to Kansas,3 sibblings lived in Illinois. Some names the sibblings married were:Smallwood,Hart,Rouse, Hicks,Morgan,Taylor, and others,
One of my great great grannfathers was a James Davidson. My Davidsons are said to be Scotch Irish. My grandfather was William Crawford Davidson, born in Tn, in 1895.
