I am looking for the parents of my Grandfather Robert F. Walters who was born in champaigne, Illinois in July 16, 1877. His parents name is John Walters and Martha assumed to be born sometimes in 1850 in Illinois and Kansas respectively. Before he joined the U.S. Army he stated on his sign-up sheet that his fathers nationality is German and is living in Champaigne Illinois in 1901 March. He was working for Armour Packing at the time in St. Joseph Missouri before signing up. On his pension file he also stated that his next of kin is his sister name Elizabeth Walters, in Benning, Ill.
