Not sure if I can help much, however I can tell you that in Pat Davin's Memoirs, he wrote that Tom Davin had 6 children (3 boys & 3 girls). Maurice F Davin was the eldest, who I beleive died in 1961, aged 88 years.

I also have a copy of a letter written in 1890, from John Francis Davin (my Great Grandfather), from Melbourne, Australia, written to his Uncle Maurice Davin. In the letter he mentions that he had heard a rumour about Uncle Tom, but does not say what it was about. I suspect it was probably in regards his health.

I also have a copy of a photograph of Tom, aged 20 years, which I suspect you may already have. If not, let us know and I will scan and forward a copy.

By the way, were are you from, Australia ?

I'm descendent from Denis Davin who migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1886 (from memory) and who died in Sydney in 1925. Also, I have a very could photo of Denis and his wife if want a copy.

If you wish more information on this side of the family let me know.

Also, if you can, I'd appreciated an details you may have on Tom Davin & his wife, especially dates of key events (Births, Marriage and Deaths, where Buried), and any sibblings etc.
