Does anyone have any information on the parents of Daniel Davis? He was born ca 1761 in Delaware (or maybe Maryland) and died in Monongalia County (W)Va on November 23, 1816. He married Luranah Hudson, d/o Ananias and Sophia (Poynter) Hudson, February 2, 1781 in Sussex County Delaware. I understand that the *Robert* Davis family came to Monongalia County W.Va. from Kent County Delaware. Robert married Miriam Furbee, the dau. of Bowers and Anna Sipple Furbee. He might be related somehow to Daniel Davis. These names are all associated with the Caldwell name at around this time, too. I'm trying to see if he fits into the family line of Jehu Davis somewhere.
